our Story

Manjimup has been home to the Macedonian-born Peos family for 100 years. With viticulture in their blood, brothers Vic, John, Kon, and Chris came together in 1996 to establish their dream vineyard as a tribute to their late father, Jim Peos, and late grandfather, P.Y. Peos.

A passionate farmer, P.Y. began cultivating grapes and producing wine in Macedonia nearly a century ago. He passed on his love for winemaking to his son Jim, who continued the tradition in Macedonia until he joined P.Y. and the rest of the family in Australia in 1951.

Upon arriving in Australia, the Peos family settled in Manjimup, drawn to its rich soils and ideal climate for farming. Their deep commitment to the land led them to farm everything from dairy cattle and beef to mixed horticulture, potatoes, cauliflowers, and beans.

The creation of Peos Estate winery by the third-generation Peos brothers brought the family legacy full circle, returning to their roots in grape growing and winemaking. Today, the business is solely owned and run by Vic Peos, alongside his wife Bente and their three daughters, Caroline, Olivia, and Theresa, as they continue to honour the family’s heritage through the art of viticulture and winemaking.
